960 was reporting a possible surprise scratch tonight. I assume Stempniak is going to sit?

I can't even bring myself to go to this game. And they only play here once or twice a year now.

There is a team up north you might be comfortable cheering for.

Ummm, I don't get it. Because the Oilers have been so awesome? I'll admit I don't get out to many games when the Flames come to California anymore either. I'm still a pretty devoted fan, but it's tough being in the opponent's building when your team is terrible.

I don't care how bad they suck, if you can only go to one game a year, you go to it. When I was on the east coast they would only swing by 2/3 years, and lost most of the time, but it was a still a great time.
Going to visiting rinks as a Flames fan is in many ways more fun than seeing them at home.

Plus if you can get good seats you can heckle the opposing players.
Friend ended up smack dab behind the Vancouver bench and at various points in the game pissed off Kesler, the Sedins, and even got Tortorella to whirl around after hollering: "Hey Torty! Why don't you go try coaching the Rangers? Oh wait"

"I don't feel like going to the game, even though they are only here twice this year" seems like an Oiler fan thing to do.
Terrible or not, if they are your team you support them.

Kris Russell skated this morning as per Roger Millions twitter, says he went out for a solo skate before practice. Didn't say whether or not he actually practiced with the team, but still good to see some progress
