Chicago's not even playing that well, Pavelec is just really really bad. The Kenyan boy choir was impressive too.

Pavel Bure jersey retirement night in Vancouver.
Strange that they're doing it on the night the Leafs are in town. I wonder if they did that to stop their STHs from selling their tickets to horrible Leaf fans (of course, in Vancouver, they're an improvement over the normal fan base)?
Assuming the ceremony runs long (like they always do), it also means the start of the Oilers game will likely be clipped. It should be about 4-0 for Detroit by the time HNIC cuts to Edmonton at 8:20.

There is no loss with having the Oilers game pre-empted. The way the Oilers are playing, northern Alberta and the Windsor area should be the only areas getting that game.
The Canucks game should be starting at 2000h and the Habs-Avalanche game should be three hours earlier, after all, it is a Canucks home game and not a Leafs home game.

Thank goodness WGN has the Blackhawks-Jets game, Greg Millen is brutal and should not be on HNIC. The Jets pulled Pavlec after the fourth goal and are down 4-1 after two periods.

Kane hits the crossbar on a penalty shot, still 4-1 Blackhawks.

lol it would be Hughson doing this for the Canucks.
Such a conflict of interest for him to call any game involving the Canucks.

It is such a conflict of interest to have Hughson calling Vancouver games on CBC. It's supposed to be a national broadcast and he's officiating a friggin ceremony for the Canucks! Blech.

I had forgotten how awesome Bure was. I sure hated him as a Flames fan, but would have given almost anything to have him on our team.

i dislike them retiring a players number that they won nothing with and he did not spend much time on that team. But they are the Canucks the kings of nothing.

Jeff Zatkoff starts for Pittsburgh today ... giving him a last chance before deciding on whether to claim MacDonald or not, I hope.
