CBJ has seven guys on the IR? It's been a rough season for them so far...

IIRC we always crap the bed vs the Blue Jackets ... but I hope they'll carry over some jump from the season opener and win 4-3. Sven, Jones, Giordano and Glencross the goal scorers.

They need to show the same level of effort as last night. Even if it's in a losing effort, it is still important that they bounce back and not get down on themselves after giving up a 3 goal lead.

Play tonight and Sunday? Way to open the schedule with a 3 in 4...

It's a big hill to climb. Thought they started the climb pretty good last night, but as this season goes 3-2 Columbus O/T loss. Again good effort just having a tough time learning how to win.

Tough game ahead, Columbus is still riding the high wave from last year.

Need to take advantage of an injury ravaged CBJ team. Flames win 3-2.

Galiardi should sit this one for that penalty that cost the win last night. Colborne slots in on 2nd line to replace.

Was listening to Maher in the morning driving into work, sounds like Stempinak was injured last night. Peter said he was hobbling along this morning.

Nothing official but he didn't think Stempinak would play.

Peter also speculated he thought MacDonald would start...

i think macdonald is definitely going to start since it's a back to back.

galiardi's penalty seemed borderline, and it's too early to be passing such harsh penalties after a single game. This will need to be a work in progress, and we can only hope they learn something individually and as a group after each passing game.

unfortunate to hear about stempniak, hope it is nothing serious.

Galiardi had nice energy last night. Took a dumb penalty. He knows it. He strikes me as the kind of player who will try to make it up to his teammates tonight.

Bad news on Stempniak. He was a force on the forecheck.

No way. Young players make mistakes. Galiardi's always had a bit of agitation to his game. It's a trait this team sorely lacks. It was a bad penalty yes, but he shouldn't sit for it.

If, and that's a big IF, the Flames can score enough goals like last night, I would hope they have the smarts to close out the game.

They have to stay disciplined and play solid defensive hockey. Hell, that's what most of our roster is made up of anyways - defensive players.

just had a look at the standings this morning. if the season were to have ended last night, we'd be playing colorado in the fist round. an interesting coaching matchup for sure........stupid oilers and canuckleheads would be booking tee times.......

I wonder if we see any line changes tonight? Joey Mac could get in with 3 in 4 nights, when does colbourne come in? Hopefully we see the same fire all game as we did to start last night
