Weird cough

[Hair bleach and Vodka]

Been hacking up a bunch of mucus the last few days but it's now a dry and very scratchy cough. Feels like every time I try and breathe some little devil is in there scrapping me with a pitchfork.

Antibiotics needed? Or do I just stay hydrated and rest?

(Had a bad bout with sinusitis a month or so ago, did not expect to get sick again so quickly)

Ugh. I'm not sure I need antibiotics but this is getting ridiculous.

Anyone care to give a home remedy?

Could be infected or not. If the mucus is green and tastes awful, that usually means infection. If it's clear/yellow or close to, and kinda like your normal kind just more of it, that's no infection.

Course, viral infection a doc can't do much about anyway, only bacterial infections do antibiotics really help. And they give those out less now cause of the possibility of creating superbugs.

If you want a home remedy, the hot liquids are great. Lemon water and honey, chicken soup, etc. See a doc if you want, don't it you don't want to, sounds pretty run of the mill to me actually. You should be over it in your own time.

If the mucus is dark coloured, you need to go to the doctor as there is probably an infection.

Either that or full blown AIDS.

Actually I've had pretty much the same thing.

Nasty bit of Sinusitis which wiped me out last week. The Sinusitis has pretty much subsided, but I have this gross hacking cough w/ phlegm. I'm still on the antibiotics for the Sinusitis though.
