Man sexually assaulted by four women

		| Toronto Police said Sunday a 19-year-old male was attacked by four women inside a parked Honda SUV early on March 31 after meeting his assailants at a nightclub in the King St. W.-University Ave. area.
The women all described as around 200 pounds, 5-foot-4, and dressed in short skirts and high heels offered to drive the victim home, but instead took him to a parking lot in the Queen St. W.-Spadina Ave. area.

It was there that each of the four women believed to be in their 30s allegedly assaulted him, said Det.-Const. Shannon McParland.

		| Men grow up feeling they have to be in control of every situation. They are also under media pressure to feel lucky that something like this happens to them.
St. John also said a male victim of such an attack (will) get a lot of criticism for this, (as) guys arent considered victims, and suffer some of the symptoms of sex assault victims, such as betrayal, helplessness and low self esteem.
 |
Do you agree with the criticism he will get?

This is a sexual assault, plain and simple.
Although by past threads it will be a collective high five.

Not in this case, since it mentions 4 overweight women. |

I guess it depends on what 'assualt' means in this case, getting buggered by four dudes would be fairly traumatic, getting your dick groped by a bunch of hunting whales drunken ex's on the other hand would just seem to be a good drinking story.

Sexual activity that you didn't consent to is by definition sexual assault. There is nothing to snicker at here,

I think the point is that it's not.

Doesn't make it right but it is...different.

I don't really feel that way but I think that's how it is perceived. Almost like - an ego thing - imagine getting raped by chicks, that's how studly I am.

Is it wrong that I am angry simply because they are fat?

Yes probably.. I picture a measurement of say 5"3 110 pounds and I think "Oh you poor baby.." but I see that 200 pounds and I think, fricken fat sluts trying to take advantage of a good looking, in shape, health conscious guy who actually cares about his self image.

Knowing nothing about the male..

Sadly I've been thinking of this over dinner and the only scenario I can think of is that this kid passed out on the way home and they took advantage of him while he was out. Waking up to 600lbs of 5'4" is probably pretty scarring - hopefully they weren't inserting things in him.

The article said he was physically OK, but I imagine he feels his dignity has been destroyed. I have to think though, that he was passed out / inebriated when this happened.

We have no idea what the assault was. It could have very easily been just as traumatic. I like to make jokes as much as the next guy, but if you seriously think the trauma suffered by sexual assault victims varies that much solely on gender, you're way off.

I said this once regarding student/teacher relationships. This place exploded. This will turn out a lot worse considering the situation.

Maybe it wasn't worded the way I would have liked but I'm commenting that on a whole - 90% of guys would laugh at this and would tease this guy about what happened to him. I don't make the rules - I'm just commenting on how I think most people react to this story. There's the PC answer and there's the one people have over beers with their mates when they aren't being judged.

Is it different based on gender? By law - yes. By society - I don't think we're there yet.

The concern for me is the number of assults that go unreported due to the stigma men face.
