Guilty Pleasure Player

Had a fun idea for a thread here..

Most of us probably have a "guilty pleasure" food, a food that we know we shouldn't eat but just can't help it and eat it anyways sometimes. (Mine is Taco Bell)

So who's your "guilty pleasure" player? A player everybody hates or someone you shouldn't be wasting your time following/watching but you can't help it so you do it anyway.

Mine is Phaneuf, still cheering for this guy despite everything (by the way 4g, 8a would put him tied for 1st on our team)..
Honorable mention goes to PK Subban, everybody hates him but I don't mind the hot heads and 6G in 18 games, pretty dang good.

So, do you have a guilty pleasure player?

Adrain Aucoin and Roman Hamrlik . . . Loved these guys on Calgary and their names alone just scream quality career defencemen because they've been playing since I was a young pup in Elementary school. Plus Hamrlik toed the NHLPA line, which gets brownie points.

I was a huge Kaspairitus fan... I liked Marchment (even before being a Flame) as well as Ulf Samuelsson.

Actually I have to add Pronger and Lidstrom to that list. Geez, Al MacInnis too.

There's nothing like watching an absolutely dominant blueliner handle entire games by themselves. Lidstrom - my god. Pure skill, all class.

I'm going to apply the OP's definition of "shouldn't waste time" following, but specifically in the sense that probably very few people outside their immediate family members followed these guys:

Jamie Huscroft
Glen Featherstone

I just loved these guys on the Flames. Still remember Huscroft giving Fleury a noogie on the Herald sports page when Huscroft got traded to TB.

And, for fun: Sergei Krivokrasov. Flame killer and then point-per-game player, for like, 11 dates, with the Flames.

Ribeiro is one for me. He's a punk but man he has some sick skills. That goal he scored against us in OT last year was a damn beauty.

I will have to piggy back with you. While he seems to have a high d-bag factor, Kane is a skilled slick player.
