Default Giordano in trouble!

@TSNBobMcKenzie: Unusual one: NHL will hold disciplinary tomorrow for CGY's Mark Giordano slew foot yesterday vs DAL but Giordano playing tonite in PHX.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: I think we can safely deduce Giordano is going to be, at most, fined, not suspended. If suspension was possible, wouldn't be playing tonite.

What slew foot?

I don't remember this slew foot incident. A refresher?

Yup. Giordano took that hit and then played like a moron for most of the game.

happened in the 3rd period. Giordano got 2 minutes for tripping on the play against Roussel. Looked borderline dirty to me, but more than anything else it was just a dumb, unnecessary play by Gio.

that's a slew foot? I thought 2 mins for tripping was more than enough..

They could show that play in ref training school as the definition of a slew foot.

well he didn't trip him with the stick, but with his foot IIRC ... so yeah, for me it was a slew foot. I don't think it's necessarily a play to get suspended for, but I'm not really surprised if he gets a fine.

Cheap play, blatant penalty. Not really sure what he was thinking.

No way that is a suspension. I thought it was fairly tame and the 2 minute penalty was reasonable

He definitely deserves supplementary punishment. It really looked like he was upset and took it out on the Stars in a pretty risky manner.

From how I recall it, it was definitely enough for a penalty. I didn't think it was enough for a suspension or a fine. I don't think it looked like intent to injure or anything, probably just Gio trying to gain an edge and get position... at least from how I remember it.

Suspending him a game would be a good wake up call for Gio. Unless Hartley puts the Butlersoft pairing together again.

For those of us that didn't see it:

Looks dangerous to me, he should probably get a game.

To be honest, I'd like to see a few more "dirty" plays from him. Just not doing a whole lot out there. If he's not going to put up the points he should at least be running a few guys through the glass.
