Marylin Manson has a fetus in a jar on his coffe table. He named it Ludwig. What a strange, strange guy.

I think this game would work if you didn't have to address the last named band. Just post an interesting fact about a band you like.

Yes, agreed. Actually the reason I started it waas because I love interesting/little known facts about bands, and was just thinking of a cheezy way to make it fun, so people would particpate.
Consider it changed.

Phil Is it true that Chevy Chase was once a drummer with Steely Dan?
Walter No that's not true.
Donald We went to college with Chevy and before we ever thought of the idea of Steely Dan we used to do pick up dates with Chevy on drums. He was a very good drummer. We was also one of the funniest drummers.
Donald He maybe wasn't THE funniest drummer but one of the funniest.

Canadian one-hit wonders Out of Your Mouth, who did the rock cover of Madonna's Music in 2004, was actually local Calgary band Flu (mostly) for those who didn't know. The band went belly-up due to creative differences and having to owe Madonna insane royalties on the song.
Never, EVER start your career with a cover of someone else's famous song.

Wasn't Flu the band that won CJays 'star search' type contest?

GUNS 'N' ROSES - originally two bands L.A. GUNNS and HOLLYWOOD ROSES. Hollywood Roses was headed by Axl Rose, Tracii Guns headed the other band which also featured Slash. The two frequented clubs and played there and were friends.

The Decemberists Colin Meloy is from Montana. This is why he and his band are awesome.

Axl Rose is an anagram for Oral Sex.

I had a street hockey fight with the lead singer when I was 12/13? He wasn't very tough

I've heard both stories but I thought mine was the right one.
To make up for that...
Before taking up guitar, Slash was mainly interested in BMX riding and competed at a professional level.

Tame Impala and Pond are basically the same band with a few band members switching in and out. Part of the new Austrailian psychedelic sound that is likely not going to be around past 2013.
Similar with Chad Valley and Givers but much better sound and not from Australia....best way to stay relevant in indie is to be part of a collective and release loads of music under different styles/genres/names.....

I think the Roses is plural because Duff McKagan's nickname is also Rose.

Slash's signature Les Paul used to belong to Joe Perry of Aerosmith. Perry hocked it when he was in dire straits before his career got a reboot from Run DMC's cover of Walk This Way.

In 2011, a team of scientists at Goldsmiths University in London, England concluded that "We Are The Champions" by Queen was the catchiest song in the history of Pop music, with "Y.M.C.A." coming in at number two.
