Another neat feature I'll definitely be using. You can stream via Airplay to multiple devices at once, so you can have your music playing throughout the whole house.
Edit: iTunes 10 had this, but I couldn't adjust the volume for each device.

Still runs like crap when the library is on a NAS

Kinda OT but since the upgrade my iPhone/iPad/iPod won't wirelessly sync to my iTunes anymore. Would that have something to do with not upgrading to iOS6 on the devices yet?

The 'next up' list is without doubt the best new feature as far as what I was hoping for.
...It also should have been something included 8 years ago.

Ok I take it back, it actually runs pretty decent from the NAS, or at least I could do now what I could almost never do before.. drag and drop an album from the list (which is on my NAS) onto my iPhone and have it actually copy the songs rather than freeze up for between 10 seconds and 1 minute per song).
Overall seems to run better under Windows than 10 did.

As long as home sharing works I'll be happy, it's being a huge PITA for me right now.

Did the upgrade last night, and watched a movie afterwards on my Apple TV, using my phone as a remote. Everything worked as expected. Of course, I didn't have issues beforehand, so who knows.
The interface is a little confusing though. At first the side bar, listing your media types, devices, playlists, etc was not there and I had to access things in a strange way. I did some stuff with Mrs Rathji's iPad and after I was done, the sidebar appeared again.
No idea what changed from beginning to end, but I was really annoyed not having it there.

you can hit view, show sidebar. Not sure if that was accidentally toggled on/off.

Yeah the sidebar disappeared for me too, I think they default it to off.

Frickin' hate it so far. Lost a lot of album art. Can't see how I can transfer music to my iPod. Can't see how to transfer music to playlists.
^^^ Guess I needed to find the side bar. Now it makes sense again.

I wish Apple would get their effing UI patterns synced up.
We've lost iTunes coverflow, which we retain in Finder and on the iOS devices.
We gained colour icons in the iTunes sidebar, but went to monochrome in Finder.
The iTunes UI is predominantly Helvetica, but the system font is Lucida Grande. So iTunes menus are Lucida, but insider the app it isn't.
Like seriously Apple, get a grip.

Hopefully now that all design elements flow through Ive, this will get cleaned up. Not necessarily because of Ive himself, but because finally every single design element is flowing through a single team.

Annoying side effect for anyone who syncs wirelessly. All our devices needed to be plugged in again in order to be recognized by iTunes.

I'm loving it. Being able to see and control what's coming up next is huge
Edit: the new Remote app is also way better

It recognizes my devices. I might have had to plug them in the first time.

In general I like it. I have realized however that my songs/organization is a disaster and will be spending some time cleaning that up.
Is anyone using itunes match? If you download a song via match, does it actually replace the original file? I'm trying to avoid a ton of duplicates.
