Strathmore lunch ideas needed
I am having lunch in Strathmore on a weekday between 12-1 and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Not looking for chinese food, pizza, pub/bar, loud music, skanky waitresses, etc. The less chaotic the better however the better places to eat tend to be busier (I realize)
My preliminary searching has found Clives, Smileys, Strathmore Station, Original Joes
Thanks

I've always enjoyed my meals at Original Joes. Haven't tried the Strathmore one, but I'm sure they're consistent between locations. Big portions too!

The Station also passes the "no skanky waitresses" test. They definitely don't hire their staff based on looks.

I think it's the place to be seen for the local Strathmorians.

That's not surprising. I used to work with the manager years ago, and she'd get pissed when working with girls who sucked but got the job because they were good looking.

They're not particularly competent either.

Don't know if it fits what you're looking for but I use to sell to a bakery shop downtown, Rocky's Bakery. Soup, Sands, Pastries etc... Rocky is a great guy and he likes hockey, golf and chuckwagon racing, his baking is delicious to

Someone drove into the place awhile ago and he just reopened this week. His sandwiches and other lunch food are ok, but you're right that his baking is great.

What type of food do they serve? I assume its a cafe style soup/sandwiches etc?
