Default Selling Un-used iTunes Credit?

Last year I received an iTunes gift card for $75, which I transferred into my account. After purchasing the music I was interested in, I still have about $50 worth of credit left that I don't plan on using. Is there any way to sell or transfer the credit to someone who would be able to use them? Apparently you can't buy iTunes gift cards using credit from another gift card, so unfortunately that option is out.

If anyone has any idea of how I might go about doing this, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Your card isn't unused then. You've redeemed it and attached it to your Apple ID. Might as well spend it? Or keep the credit till something else comes along.

Yes, that's right. The card has been used/redeemed, but there is still $50 worth of credit from it on my Apple account that I haven't spent yet. I'd just hate to see it sit there unused if someone else has stuff they could spend it on.

I guess your other option would be to gift items to somebody. So rather than transferring credits you're sending the person "gifts". Otherwise the credits are stuck in your account until you find something to spend them on.

Unfortunately you can't do this either as you cannot use your credits to purchase gifts. Well you couldn't when I tried to do this last year. It seems that once you redeem your iTunes card, the credits are yours and only yours.

Hmmm...it sounds odd that you couldn't use your own credits to buy a gift that you would give to someone else. Once you have money in your account aren't you free to do whatever you'd like with it whether it's buying apps for you or someone else why would Apple care? They still have your money.

You can buy gifts. I've done it with an ipad app. You provide the giftees email, and purchase the item. The giftee gets the email and downloads the item.

Gifts don't use iTunes credit, but rather your credit card. Cannot transfer any credit on your account.
