We'll take the point.

Our top line was shutout tonight which was the difference in the game. The Islanders top line outplayed mine and they did a great job grinding out the win. Byfuglien continues to score sine coming back to the Jackets and playing forward but he has also been a liability on the ice. He scored two goals but was still out on the ice for 2 goals against.

Our PK which was solid all year has not been good lately. We'll have to make an adjustment there.

Predators get a nice win over St. Louis. Armstrong was on fire and we just wish we could play the Blues on a nightly basis!

We lost all 3 of our 3 games in 3 nights, so we will use this break to soak up some of that beautiful San Jose sun and come back recharged.

On the plus side, San Jose fan favorite Brett McLean will be appearing on the fabled Canadian Spengler Cup team!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!!!

I guess my early present was a victory over a very good Ottawa team. Special teams were the story. Ottawa went on the powerplay eleven times and yet the story was we got only one power play late in the game. That powerplay changed the game though as it gave us momentum. 16 seconds after the PP goal we scored again to send the game to OT where we David Legwand scored to give the Leafs another W!
