Computer Crash Question

My Dell laptop seems to do a crash dump at random times, and what I see is a blue screen with the error message something like

DRIVER_IQRL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_TO

Or something close to that.

Can any of you specialists advise what that might mean and how I fix it?

A) What version of Windows are you running?
B) Can you use a camera to get us the entire Blue Screen message?

This error is generally caused by bad memory, or bad drivers. Need more info about your hardware and Windows version.

Have you down loaded or installed anything that the time frame coincides with your troubles?

DRIVER_IQRL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_TO is usually a memory issue but can also be due to system instability from overheating or some other defect/dying parts.

What model of Dell? And/or hold down the Windows key, and press pause/break. Then click device manager, post here what you have for a processor and display adapter.

my wife's laptop did lots of crash dumps - it began doing it shortly after we bought it

it ended up being a defective hard drive

I had this problem. Swapped out memory and its been a charm since.
