Default No more bass from speakers

My dad's trusty stereo set from about 10 years ago nolonger produces any bass. They consist of a large mid-range driver and a tweeter in the corner. It looks like the tweeters work since all the sounds seem to be high end.

What is the most common cause of something like this? I don't see any physical damage to the paper cones.

possible that one of the connections to the sub speakers just jiggled off given how old they are. Might be worth cracking them open to see if there are any loose connections inside the box. That's the simplest solution, little solder would fix that, otherwise look for oxidation around the connections and shine them up with some fine steel wool...

I had an old pair of speakers do that to me too and that fixed it me.
