Still a good deal considering the movie is in 3D and you get to watch it a day early. As long as you don't mind dealing with crowds it should be worth 1000 points easy. Edit: Guess it's only 500 points for Calgarians. Damn I am getting hosed.
Anyway, personally I have been a huge Cap fans since I was a kid. Collected all of his worthless comics, and bought tonnes of other junk to deck out my room (wall-paper, bedding, posters, games, etc). Heck I even wasted about $8000 buying a majority of his Golden Age books from the 40's (and the Commie books from the 50's).
Of course any attempts to make Captain America live action movies have always been terrible. I hope this time around Steve won't fake sickness in order to steal cars from his associates. God those movies were horrible...
I expect this entry to be at least as good as Thor, and hopefully Evans can fill Rogers boots.
Oh and for those who missed the post in the superhero thread, please be sure to stay after the credits for...the Avengers trailer.
Can't wait!

Based on the commercials alone, the movie looks like it will be a big disappointment.
really? the previews look pretty awesome, certainly better than Thor's. anyways being that it's all in house with Marvel now and they have yet to disappoint, i'm looking forward to this one
"The fourth comic book movie of the summer is the best comic book movie of the summer. Johnston has delivered a light, clever and deftly balanced adventure picture with real lump-in-the-throat nostalgia, with Nazis — who make the best villains — and with loving references to “Star Wars” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”
Captain America isn't a hero, he's a product of 20th century cheating. And in the real world, he would have died at the age of 30 of severe cancer, with a complete shrinky dink, bacne and a massive bald spot centered mullet.
In fact when they reboot Captain America, I think that they should cast Hulk Hogan in the lead role.

Chris Evans is super hot, so I have faith that he will continue to be super hot in this movie.
The previews are meh, but I think there's a chance that Chris Evans' super hotness and the awesome power that is Tommy Lee Jones will pull this one into the win column.

Exactly why it doesn't have the right feel for me.
Chris Evans.

Geez you sound like my girlfriend. She barely has a clue who Captain America is, and she couldn't really care less. That's why we're watching it this weekend, and is the only reason she wanted to watch Scott Pilgrim.
Damnit all I hear is Chris Evans this, Chris Evans that. "Why can't you look like Chris Evans?" Chris Evans! CHRIS EVANS!!

Tell her,
"bitch, if I looked like Chris Evans, you think I'd be with you? HAHA, you wish."
