In the not too distant future, I'll be getting one of those (3D printer, maybe not that specific one). I'm just waiting for a little bit as I'm not quite ready for it's usage, but I will be soon. I can't wait, it'll be so cool.
They had a guy on Colbert not too long ago, that invented a type of these, it'll likely be one like that.

I'm trying to see if it's a genuine Crescent wrench or just a knock off adjustable wrench.

theyr'e pretty sweet, you can even make things with appropriate moving parts like a small toy car or something.
I saw one of those wrenches and it would have worked perfectly, the only thing was that the one printer used a type of hard plastic.
pretty expensive stuff they were trying to sell us one at work for 15000

$15k seems like peanuts for something like that.

The MakerBot is a good 3D printer. Watching them work is pretty cool.

Soon in the news, stroller companies copyright design of parts, sue 3D printer makers and operators.

Given how much the home-brewed subtractive machines have improved in quality and dropped in price in the last few years, I'd expect that the additive machines go through the same transformation.

The future of internet piracy is going to be 3D models for these printers. Someone should start a torrent site quick!

I could see this causing massive copyright, patent, and intellectual property problems though.
Think knock offs are pervasive now?

I'm just a little confused. The video made this tech seem like a wonder product. Super easy and completely practical. I mean, the wrench WORKED.
So why isn't this far more prevalent, and why hasn't the company already exploded into a building full of money? Something doesn't seem right here. Did it take 6 months for the wrench to solidify or something?
