Amazingly all the Flames UFAs (besides the ones that re-signed with the team) found new teams in the first few hours of Free Agency opening.

I want Hall for sure, but if I had to pick one or the other I think I go with Pietro. There is your new #1 D man and #1 G on the same day, two of the biggest holes on the roster cleaned up without giving up any assets. (the other big hole is an elite #1C but that one isn't getting filled today).
Tre really needs to pour the coals to Pietrangelo's camp and convince him CGY is the place to be.

Big name UFA's not signing on the first day is a two-edge sword. One side being a show of super-confidence. The other - seeing the market for your services shrinking, as teams fill up the spots and using up the cap space. Would love to eavesdrop on those player-agent dialogues...
