Agreed - name 1 goalie in the playoffs that Elliott has outplayed over 3 games. Just 1 out of 16....
I can't name any.

But Elliott was not great. Bad breaks or not, that's not elite goaltending. I like the guy, but not sure how he comes back next year.
Too bad there wasn't a killer instinct from the team. You're up 4-1, make it 5-1, then 6-1. Destroy them. Oh well, on to next year. They're not terrible, but they're not good enough. Be interesting to see what happens this summer. New goalie, need a one or two more offensive threat. Treliving has his work cut out for him.

That Monahan chance on the PP would have sealed the deal.

The team lacks composure in key moments. Night and day difference between the Ducks and Flames. I posted earlier in the series about the extra gear required to win in the playoffs. The Flames don't have it, and its disappointing that the veterans didn't even provide that.

People saying "bad deflections", have you played hockey? Watched? Those deflections happen all the damn time. Its bound to happen with guys going to the net, goalies usually can track it and make the save.
Elliott looked blind as a brick tonight. Freaking turd.

I actually wouldn't even dress him. He's done with this team, so let's look to the future.
Also, it's not hard to see why no team has ever been willing to give him that true #1 contract, and it's because he's a 1a starter at best, and at worst he's a complete and utter liability.

Flames have played so much better than the ducks in basically 2.5/3 games of the series but are down 0-3.
So many flukey ass goals and bull#### all around.
Id like to see some more replays of the high stick goal that was allowed. Looked well above the crossbar. Pretty pathetic the NHL has like 2 cameras to review plays on. Watching the NFL and getting so many angles you think the NHL could get some more cameras.

Also the ability to mentally stabilize or settle the team down when needed. Great systems guy but the lack of leadership intangibles has appeared again.

shocked by the non timeout after the high stick goal to be honest...
not sure what he was saving it for? you're up 4-3 better to use it then with your team barely staying on its feet

Playoff Moose showed up for game 1 and then called it for the season, evidently...

It got worse when the defence tried to block every shot as opposed to letting their goaltender make the saves. It was as if the team lost confidence in Elliott

Not one.
That's what I never understood about Elliott apologists, they act like he's only supposed to make the saves he's supposed to make.
This is complete garbage. Starting goalies are expected to make all of the saves they're supposed to and most of the ones they're not suppose to.

I think his biggest problem is his refusal to shorten the lineup when the game is getting late. He's a lot like Desjardins like that.

Flames are too soft when it matters most, just rollover when there's adversity. I think it's called crumpelling.

IMO it's more stubbornness. He's shown all season that he will stick to his program regardless of the results as he seems to place a lot of value in sticking to his plan and being consistent.
