Pay for Sportsnet but will be watching the TSN stream online. Quality difference is too big too hurt my eyes watching what I actually pay for.

Screw you SN!

I pay for Sportsnet, but I imagine it's blacked out again (same as last night). Makes sense.

I want a win tonight, primarily because I'm a flames fan. But I also really really really enjoy how salty Maurice gets after losses.
Winnipeg is a dangerous team though, so it's going to be a battle. Hopefully it being such a close game last night will keep us engaged and ready to play tonight.

It's my wife's birthday today. This calls for a tight 3-2 win for Rittich's first of the season.

...

... (and if you think I would risk divulging her actual age in any form, you are delusional.)

It's ok, I got this one. I turned 31 today.

I am impressed that you got the word 'tight' in there. Well played.

Are they actually?

The Jets beat the Flames in OT in Game #1, lost to Toronto, and have otherwise played three games v. Ottawa, two v. Edmonton, and another one v. Vancouver which they lost.

I think I said it last night, but flipping between the two was like time travelling back and forth 10 years. The TSN feed was massively better.

I did miss Ball though

I thought Rittich was solid in his last game. One goal he might want back, but it was still a breakaway.

If the Flames play half-decent in front of him, I have confidence in him.

Call me crazy, but I think now is the time to change the D pairings once more:

Hanifin-Tanev - ~22 minutes
Valimaki-Andersson - ~20 Minutes
Gio-Nesterov- ~18 minutes

Go Flames Go!

I'd like to see a Gio-Kylington 3rd pair. Nesterov's been okay, but Kylington brings a dynamic element, one similar to what Brodie offered opposite Gio

Once we can get to a spot where we are comfortable pairing Valimaki-Andersson together this wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Good call!

Gaudreau has been amazing, expecting that to continue to be the trend, as well as strong play from our "2nd" d pairing.

Starting to see some positive things from Leivo, Bennett, Lucic, Ryan, Nordstrom.

I still think that guys like Tkachuk and backlund are fighting it a bit. Am expecting them to stop the suck and starting to look more like themselves as we get deeper in the season. This team needs them to be dependable offensively if they want to be anything more than the 4th best team in the div.

Every Flames/Jets game this year is going to end 4-3 in extra time.

We win this one again tonight. Gaudreau, Lindholm, Gio, and Ryan.

I hate that I like this.

It's too soon for Valimaki to make that jump but I kinda want to see it.

Hanifin-Tanev are clearly our top pairing right now.
