Ok, I loved your guys responses to the great musical openings and I wanted to do another one. This one is your favorite TV show opening credits.
1) Police Squad
The early short lived TV Series starring Leslie Neilson. Why did I love it, beyond the zaniness of the shootouts. The special guest was always killed in the opening credits. Lorne Green, William Shatner, Florence Henderson.
2) Firefly
I loved this one because it established so much of what this series was about, with a great original Western Song that set the mood. "You can't take the sky from me". Visually it was really beautiful as well
3) Battlestar Galactica 1978
This one is beautiful, first starting with the "There are those who believe . . ." the voice done by the actor who later played Count Iblis who was basically the devil. The orchestral theme was beautiful and you saw the battlestar moving through space.
4) The A-Team
They summed up the story right from the start, in 1972 a crack commando team was sent to prison for a crime they didn't commit. The opening theme music was pretty light and fun and it went well with this shows premise that they didn't take it all that seriously, and Mr T needed his milk
5) Angel
I loved the opening theme of this show, the use of violins separated itself from Buffy right away and you knew that this story was going to be a bit darker. The ending up it makes you feel like Angel is actually flying towards redemption
So what are some of your favorite openers?

The original Hawaii Five-O sequence is iconic. When the current reboot started up they repeatedly heard people say "don't screw up the song". They screwed up on the 1st try, got hell for it, and they promptly fixed it.
So many great intros to choose from the 80's but I'm going to go with the opening from the original CBS Airwolf with Dom and Sinjin (before it got Canadianized and got cheap and crappy). The pulsing electro-synth and pushing of buttons for various weapon systems, stuff blowing up, and machine guns popping out will get anyone hooked.

But nothing beats the greatest show opening of all time......
Yup, this exactly.

Ok, maybe I'll add in one more that I think most people don't know about because they haven't watched this show yet...but they should. Like most of the show, the lyrics are darkly funny and biting.
