I hadn’t seen the video until I went to post that track here, after listening to the album multiple times. It only further entrenched my fandom.... which is going to be a hard one to say out loud to people!
Life Without Buildings only released one album, Any Other City, and it came out 20 years ago today. They’re having a resurgence thanks to TikTok and I’m glad.
Warren is my favorite singer/songwriter and I have all his albums on vinyl. Great on the keys and with the pen.
My favorite song:
Interesting bit of trivia, Warren Zevon's last two live shows, not including his last appearance on Letterman, before succumbing to cancer were the Calgary and Edmonton Folk fests of 2002.

I’ve been playing around more with Apple Music recently. There are some great features.
In the Listen Now page (or For You), I like the weekly Favourites Mix and New Music Mix. The algorithms are very good at playing music I like or might be interested in.
You can create your own station simply by “loving” songs you like. The station selects a good mix of songs I like, and most of the suggestions that are new to me are generally great too.
Lots of channels for differential styles and genres. “Essential” playlists for discovering bands you missed.

A lot of record labels have playlists of their new singles they update regularly. Some also have playlists of songs they recommend that include other labels' artists as well. Merge, Matador, Polyvinyl, 4AD, Sub Pop, and Anti come to mind but there are others.
