When I got covid it was probably the sickest I have ever been or close to it, eve n after I tested negative, I stayed cautious and away from people for another 5 days and sealed off in my room WFH, wearing masks etc. My breathing has not been normal since, and the fatigue lasted until August.
People just don't care it was like once nut job politicians such as Kenney and Smith tell you to be a anti vaxx nut and go protest people are being extra ignorant. Going to grocery stores people still love shoving the cart up your ass and get to you as close as possible. Hand washing and overall hygiene seems to be back to normal people not caring.
Danielle Smith is human scum and continuing to spread her BS makes you the same her. These idiots love riling people up and its exactly what they are doing.

There's no stigma related to getting COVID. I've been fortunate enough to avoid it all this time, but most people I know have not. There is a stigma to being a low-information anti-science denialist who spent the last two years whining about the "scamdemic" and ranting about anti-vaccine conspiracy theories to coworkers who most certainly did not want anything to do with that conversation and then getting COVID.

It must vary. If someone at my place of work all of a sudden is sick for days/weeks, management will not disclose that it's COVID. Word gets around of course and it's usually fairly obvious but the company will not disclose it.

Pretty typical. Medical information is private. Company shouldn't be sharing who got Covid, vaccination status, etc. It obviously gets around though

I wasn’t suggesting that my company was outing people with. We just took it upon ourselves as employees go let everyone know as a courtesy.

My understanding from her posting history is that her office pays the bare minimum to its employees where they can so I guess it’s not a surprise that there are so many issues. After all, you get what you pay for.

Strangely, the only people I know who claim to have avoided covid are hardcore antivaxxers or conspiracy theorists or republican nut jobs. In some cases, all there.
For the rest of us vaccinated normies, you’re right. But for a segment of the population, lying about not catching covid has become part of their anti science identity.

There are also those with health issues who continue to follow the best advice from experts and have avoided it. Beyond my wife and myself, I know others who are vulnerable and still masking and haven't got it. Funny how masks seem to actually work.

Nice badge of honour for the “normies” I guess??
I’m glad polio vaccine doesn’t work like that.

Tell me you literally understand nothing about epidemiology without telling me.
Or do you really think Coronaviruses use the same mechanisms and have the same mutation scales as Picornaviruses.
This mother####er was probably griping on Usenet 5 years ago about scientists suppressing the cure for the common cold.

lol of course you could, and you do. I'm sure your stories have a base in reality but you add so much extra stuff that they become ridiculous. The recipes call for Salt & Pepper, not entire bottles of both.
