I’d take a flyer on him. He’s shown that he can play in the past, is still fairly young, plays a hard game.

Plus we’d have the added bonus of converting the Oilers colour guy to a Flames fan.

I want the flames to pick him up because it would destroy Debrusk Sr. He would be so conflicted about waiving his Oiler pom poms.

Debrusk for Zadorov. Salary and term is basically a wash.

This is the first suggestion that has merit IMO. Monahan and Valimaki have more value than Debrusk, no matter how much they are whipping boys around here.

Mackie and Kinvall when healthy are ready tostep in, and Stone is solid.

Hasn't Debrusk been linked to the Flames in trade rumours like, a thousand times? I think he would do fantastic under Sutter. Not sure if he's a fit though, being a LW.

I don't think he does play a hard game which is why there is friction between him and the coach.

But I'd still take a flyer on him. I think Sutter can whip him into playing a more complete game.

Debrusk at his best plays a gritty, determined game, and goes to all the danger areas to make plays and score. He just doesn't do it on a consistent basis, and I think that's what the coach has an issue with.

You would have thought a son of a former pro would already know the part about consistency.

Monahan + Zadarov for Debrusk + Hall.

Do it.

Gaudreau - Lindholm - Tkachuk
Hall - Backlund - Mangiapane
Debrusk - Dube - Coleman
Lucic - Richardson - Lewis (…this line needs work)

You'd think so but during a Bruins vs Oilers game earlier this year Debrusk sold out his own kid for "embellishing" during the game. So as another poster brilliantly said Grease is apparently thicker than Blood. It'd be the same old garbage spewed from the broadcast booth.

Everyone will take a low risk on him

Kinda like Bennett, question is what’s the max someone will risk?

I don’t see a 1st. Either a similar risk swap or a 2nd and a throw in.

No thanks. Not sure why posters want to trade for him?

DeBrusk was really good in his first couple seasons. I imagine every team knocked on Boston's door. But he's slowed down considerably and seems to be neither here nor there in playing these days. I don't know if that's indicative of his confidence dropping or his physical ability, or the game passing him by in getting faster over the past few seasons, but I'm not big on him as I once were. Monahan has a higher upside, so I wouldn't want to do a one for one as other suggest. I also don't know where he'd fit in. The guy is wanting a trade to get to better scenery as well. Does burying him on the third or fourth line help him in any way? I just don't see a fit.

If the Flames acquired DeBrusk, I'm assuming Dube would move back to C or to RW (depending on who the Flames give up), which opens up that 3rd line LW.

Yeah, I really have no idea what Boston might want for DeBrusk. I was looking at salaries and length of contract.

I'm not as sour on Zadorov as other posters might be, but could see moving him.

Looks like Cassidy was mad about his controller disconnect level of effort on a forecheck that failed and led to an odd-man rush (and a game winning goal against the other way) because he was nowhere close to being able to cover the high forward as the F1 coming back.

So no hustle on forecheck, no hustle on backcheck... can't imagine Darryl would have pleasant things to say about a shift like that haha
