Opioid addiction in the North American is as old as the first Europeans who came over.
The current opiod crisis is massively tied to the Big Pharma manipulation of doctors, overwhelming their better sense with bad data and offering massive personal financial incentives. Which started happening right before they gained access to hundreds of billions of opiods they could now bring to market.

Is this supposed to be a felony or misdemeanor? Charging him with a misdemeanor would probably do more harm than good, especially if they can't get a conviction.
This seems like the least meaty of his various crimes. I'd love to see him in prison, but don't have a very good feeling about how this will go and if he ends up getting out of it, it just gives him and his supporters validation and a rallying point.

I think you think you're doing something important by exposing wrong-doing in the world. However, what most conspiracy theories actually do is overwhelm people with noise and they miss the actual evil #### that happens. So you're actually doing the opposite of what I think you're trying to do.

It is far from the first synthetic opioid.
