Their fan base's tolerance for ugly jerseys. 40+ years and counting, and they still haven't found the limit.

Basically, whether people will support the team changing to this as their logo and colour scheme permanently. There has long been speculation that the Aquilinis would like to rid the team of the Orca Bay logo, and frankly, I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet.
In this case, the logo is decent but the colour scheme is a step backwards. It would look better with the old black and orange colours than the seaweed green and loser blue.

Obviously I'm in the minority, but I actually like it, aside from the fact that it's a canucks jersey.
The color scheme reminds me steam whistle.

Good: Using Johnny Canuck instead of the Orca Bay monstrosity (or the utterly boring stick-in-rink-to-make-a-C-out-of-negative-space). I happen to like Johnny Canuck, and there’s a genuine bit of history behind the name, which is a rarity in Vancouver.
Bad: Putting a mascot in full hockey equipment on the logo, just so, you know, people who might otherwise never have heard of the Canucks will know what sport they play. That just screams ECHL, or SPHL, or best of all, UHL, like this classic logo here:
If they used the shoulder patch design for the main logo, it would be simpler, stronger visually, and more appealing in general. It would also get rid of the green-on-green thing with Johnny Canuck’s shirt, which is my main objection to the colour scheme of the jersey.

If they used the Johnny Canuck V logo (Like on the shoulders) it wouldn't be bad. Not great, but not bad. An improvement for sure, then again anything would be an improvment

It totally reminds me of the Hartford Whalers, everything except the logo.
BUT, it's still better than this monstrosity

They're not great, but I actually don't mind the Johnny Canuck logo, or the move away from the Orca.
It's not a great jersey, but it's a step in the right direction, IMO.
It's a shame though, I liked that colour combo in the Hartford days. Now I can't stand it for some reason...

Would like to see more green, purple etc jerseys. The trend towards every team having black jerseys was boring.

Logo is too cheesy. Just have Johnny Canuck's head looking up and a signature. The have a V on the shoulder crest and the BC/Canada flags as well. Tone down the green color and make them stripes on a navy jersey. Then it would actually look like a half-hearted piece of crap, which is better than what they put together anyways.

i kind of like it, but who really cares, vancouver is no good!!!!
i am sort of surprised that the jersey does not spell the team name as "canux" - sort of like a girls hockey team would

Agreed. It would be a good shoulder logo but isn't strong enough to be the front crest. Maybe they were trying to piggyback on the green of the gorgeous Stars 3rd jerseys but it just doesn't work with the light green and blue.

Other than Johnny Canuck being among the worst logos in professional sports, it doesn't even look to be in the correct position on this jersey.

That is ooooogly. I don't understand how anyone likes that jersey. The colours are gross, the weird stripey circle just looks like an strain on a white shirt. Gross

I like the Johnny Canuck. It's not the most attractive or cleanest logo but it's marketable and fun. It's also well balanced and looks good on a jersey.
Literally all Vancouver needs to do is put him on the chest of their current stickrink jersey, move the stickrink to the shoulders and make Johnny Hockey their primary logo. Boom, identity resolved.
