I just never understood the appeal of hanging around naked, in a stinky ass locker room, chatting with other random naked dudes for 30 minutes. There's also one particularly vile creature at the Y here in Vic that walks around totally naked and will come up right beside you to piss at the urinal, completely buck-ass naked and barefoot. Just disgusting on so many counts.
I also get that Calgary is too cold for most of the year so this isn't always practical, but if it's warm out and you're just going from home to the gym and then back home again, I don't really get the need to use the change room at all.

I actually get sweaty when I work out and refuse to sit in my car seat while sweaty and gross.
However I used to jog to the gym which was great cause you could just go right in and work out then jog home.
Yeah, i don’t know if this is a decency issue, it’s an “old men are weird” issue.
You know what I do? I go in, change, and leave. I don’t strip down and have a convo with the buds, or go for a little stroll by myself, or generally just try to reinvigorate the wrinkly bits with a little old fashioned O2.
I also don’t get the appeal of reading a paper at the mall while complaining that A&W didn’t get your breakfast right, but give me 40-50 years, I’m sure i’ll Figure it all out.

Nobody here is defending that, though, are they? The issue is whether people should be allowed to get naked in change rooms at all. I don't know how we got to anyone who thinks getting naked in change rooms is okay likes to strut around with their junk showing.

I agree. Which is why I don't want to see regulations changed to make it mandatory to get undressed is special rooms. That will just make for lineups, and spending longer in change rooms.

I think this will be interesting when dealing with large groups. I mean, I volunteered before helping with the school swimming program, and I can’t imagine trying to get kids wrangled and dressed back up at the end of the program if each one has to go to their own private room. Maybe Puxlut has some insight? I see it as kind of a nightmare for school programs, but maybe it isn’t a big deal to figure out the logistics of getting a dozen or so boys through the shower and dressed after a class.
Athletes in the ancient Olympics competed in the nude in front of thousands. Now you can't even get ready for competition and be nude.
Then again, I sure wouldn't want to be one of those ancient Greeks naked on the luge. Must've been reeeeeeeaaaaaalllll frosty.
Come on now, you know they didn't have winter events in ancient Greece. Fun fact though, the original pole vault was done in the nude, and they had to make use of the equipment that Zeus endowed them with.
