Flames looked nervous from the get-go. Never got over it. Hesitant or careless. Can't be both, and they were.
Didn't seem like they had the will to win tonight...came back from 0-2, but as soon as the Stars came on hard....they Flames simply had no answer, just flailed around a lot.
Put up or shut up time.
This series just got very simple; prove you can win, or go home.
No mind games, no worrying about the next game. Put it all out there, or prove all the critics right.
The real victim, if we lose, is Biz Nasty. That cul-de-sac is going to be a rough look.

its actually crazy that if we played literally any other team in the playoffs west or east we likely would have been up 2+ goals after the first period.
if oettinger somehow wins this next game then no doubt has to go down as one of the greatest performances in a series of all time.

We went 7 games in the first round in both 1989 and 2004 and in hindsight these were maybe some of the most difficult games. Gotta learn how to win. It feels like they're getting close and I have faith in this team.

It's mostly the fact that nobody on the Flames can finish or has any clutch goal scoring ability, mental midgets.
Also Toffoli is hot trash. Thanks again Treliving for your brilliant pro scouting
Tkachuk played stupid game and won stupid prize. It wouldn’t surprise me if he has a broken hand . Otherwise he is the biggest choker in Flames history and there have been plenty
Today I was talking to my 5 year old about my favorite moment in sports.
Gelinas Game 7 OT winner.
I was explaining how it meant so much due to the 14 years without winning a playoff series and 7 years not making the playoffs.
Not to mention the fact Vancouver won game 6 on triple OT, then tying in the last minute in game 7 to force OT again.
I was devastated.
I had no hope.
And then... "Here's Igina off the boards, Yelle a shot, Auld save, another, they score and it's Martin Gelinas the former Canuck! And the Calgary Flames will end the cup curse and move on to Detroit on round 2!"
My favorite moment in all of sport doesn't happen without the preceding immense amount of heartbreak.
Sunday.
Game 7.
We've been the better team in 6 out of the 6 games played.
C of Red.
Go Flames Go.

I also would have liked to see Johnny some more in the third. Only 19 minutes of ice time and I thought he looked dangerous and made his linemates better whoever he was out with.
ugh... Calgary just seems like they aren't get good bounces around the net... Dallas is blocking a lot of shots it feels like.
Dallas came out after the first and was the better team...played desperate and with urgency.
Calgary needs to stay on top of them all game - otherwise Dallas will put the dome to sleep like the first two periods of last game. Need to win all three periods on Sunday to make it through.
Is this a fact? Do you have any number to back up your claim. I'm tired of people spewing out non sense.
Watch the games. He’s frickin gassed the last game with Gaudreau on the ice snd tonight in the final minute, he just stood at the frickin blue line while everyone’s rushing towards the Flames’ end and they scored! It’s pathetic!
I remembered 2004 when Canucks tied the series 3-3 and I turned to my nephew and said we are gonna lose game 7. Then game 7 rolls around, boy, was I ever wrong.
