After waking up, and catching up on this thread while drinking my morning coffee, this is my takeaway:
If the GOP adhered to the Constitutional Convention that they themselves created just 4 years ago and waited until after the election to appoint a new Supreme Court Justice, then the administration getting ravaged by COVID-19 would have been avoided.

I wonder how Trump and the Republicans would be behaving if things were reversed and it was Biden who was in the hospital with Covid-19?
The only thing we know for certain is how Trump behaved when Hillary came down with pneumonia in 2016 during her campaign.

I may have missed it, but I don’t think anyone has asked for the state to kill Trump. I also don’t think people tend to shed any tears for murderers who die of natural causes.

I personally don’t wish him dead; I hope he loses the election but that’s a different thing. There can be a bit of a fine line between wishing him ill and pointing out the irony of his standing on a stage and mocking Biden for wearing masks when he was already infected with the virus. It’s also completely FAIR to speculate about what happens if he DOES die or is incapacitated, both in terms of the election and how that affects his government.
But it’s also a moment when we can reflect on compassion as a virtue, even compassion for people who we don’t think deserve it. I think that is also something that guy with the beard was trying to teach people.

So it took all of 24 hours for this to go from "Trump is faking for his miracle play" to "Oh yeah, it's just another ####show for these incompetent ####s". Doesn't mean he won't try and spin it if he comes out alive (of course he will), but in hindsight, even knowing they are willing to do anything, we really should have just gone with the most likely scenario of idiocy and incompetence.

It is likely thousands of people have died unnecessarily because of his negligence.
I don’t wish him dead. He has an innocent son. Maybe his adult children are still redeemable. I hope Justice awaits him here on Earth.

He'll have absolutely the best care in the world, so i expect him to pull out of it, but hopefully, not before experiencing some very nasty symptoms so he doesn't just write it off as the flu.
Unfortunately, regular people don't have the same access to medical care - even less if Trump and the GOP have their way and cut Obamacare - that Trump has. I mean Boris Johnson, if he were a regular bloke, probably would have died except for the extraordinary care he received because of his position.
