Hopefully Dube is able to heal up before our next game.
This break works out for his recovery time.

Everyone thought hand/wrist for Dube - but Lower Body is unexpected. Day-to-day status given the 5 day break is good fortune all things considered.

Gelinas said groin this morning on 960. Said it will be a while.

Damn, those take awhile to heal. At least it's not a concussion?

Sucks to see Dube go down - he was off to a great start.
In terms of replacing him in the lineup I really want them to call up Phillips to give him a shot.
Think he will surprise a lot of people if he gets a look.

Taking a while to get to 5000

I assume Mangiapane will replace him on that top line, Nordstorm comes in as the 4RW
I assume they keep Gaudreau-Monahan-Simon together too. They looked alright.

#Flames head coach Geoff Ward won't let this extended break go to waste. He's not loving the lack of detail in this practice and just threatened a bag-skate if his squad didn't sharpen up.
Ward is an interesting coach. He has some nuance to him. He definitely has many qualities of the traditional players' coach: looking for player input, making decisions based in part on player input, etc. However, he will also be tough on his players sometimes.

Ward really impressed in the play-in round, but I was less enthused about how things were handled v. Dallas in Round 1. That said, I have been quite pleased with how he has run the bench in the early going of the season.

Hey, wait a minute:
Did he just dust off an old set he had ready for another Canucks retro night? I am not sure how I should feel about that.

I don't love the blasty jerseys, but those pads are beautiful

Doubtful, too much red. And his Canucks retro gear was primarily white with yellow.

I don't know, man. I mean, those look like the same colours in an adjusted pattern to me.
