I don't know, I thought this season was one of the best shows I've watched over the last year. But I was pretty into by midway.

It isn’t even really the business machinations and high drama that keep me engaged in Succession. It’s the absurd comedy.

Like when Logan has Greg to his castle for a high pressure one-on-one, and Greg says he’ll have a rye and coke. So Logan has a servant bring Greg a can of coke to pour into his $500 a bottle whiskey. And when Logan ends the meeting, Greg asks “should I chug this? Yeah, I’ll chug it.” And he does. That’s why I watch.

They're American who I have come to realize don't order rye and coke by that name. They will order gin and tonic, scotch and seven, rum and coke. But when it comes to whisky seems like most well drinks are ordered by brand. say a crown and coke. Anyway in this case it was a rum and coke, not whisky.

But digression aside, I couldn't agree more about the absurd comedy. I do enjoy the backroom dealings and characters as well.

Have you got to the episode for Kendall's birthday party yet? If that episode doesn't get you, I don't know what to tell you.

Episodes 5, 6, 7 (shareholder meeting, republican conference, Kendall bday) are 3 tour de force lessons in a row on ratcheting up tension and comedy simultaneously. On par with boar on the floor and vote of no confidence eps.

I just finished episode 1 of 'Our Flag Means Death.'

An absurd Pirate story directed by Taika Waititi who is basically the story-telling version of 'King Midas' at this point.

I recommend it, lets see where it goes.

Oh! And Hodor is in it!

If you order a rye and coke in the US you'll get bourbon and coke. Found that out the hard way as I'm not a fan of bourbon.

The Last Kingdom season 5 is out on Netflix. I just popped into the app to watch the new Ryan Reynolds movie, and what an awesome surprise to see one of my all time favorite shows has new episodes!

If you liked Game of Thrones, then you should LOVE The Last Kingom.

Last Kingdom is great, though I was disappointed in season 4. But the trailer for season 5 looks pretty good!

Destiny is all (whatever the hell that means)

The first couple of episodes are slow, but as soon as Taika shows up as Blackbeard things pick up immensely. The last 3 episodes were all fantastic

The cast is fantastic. And...its wild. The pacing, the development is all over the place. I really like it.

It is patently absurd.

Wait, are you saying that mentioning Blackbeard was a spoiler? The character in all the promos and primary poster for the show?
