That's from Friends and he dates Monica.

Favreau first caught my attention in the movie Swingers. He was terrific in that, as was Vince Vaughn.

I was there for the Tonight Show with Vaughn, Cindy Crawford and Super Dave Osborne. Great guests.

Okay, has anybody seen Skyscraper? It's a Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson epic tale of finding his family in a burning buildling. I'm a sucker for a good "bad" movie, and this is the epitome of that genre. Nothing makes sense, but the theatrics are incredible. The Rock even has a prosthetic leg to add extra intrigue to this debacle.

Honestly, if you're sitting around one night either drunk or high, try this one. You won't be disappointed, and you won't remember a thing about it. It's amazing.

disagree.

I usually love movies with the Rock and also love good "bad" movies.

I recommend everyone avoid Skyscraper. It's bad, but not fun bad. just an awful movie.
It might be the first Rock movie I had to turn off and stop watching. And this is from a guy who watched all of Jungle Cruise.

1/10 just a crap movie.

He would have fallen like a rock.
(image spoiler, not plot)

Spoiler!

If you want a good bad Rock movie, Rampage is what you are looking for. It's actually quite good, better than the new Godzilla movies.

If you want to watch a great movie about a burning building check out Towering Inferno. Amazing 70s disaster movie with an insane cast including Paul Newman, Steve McQueen, Faye Dunaway, Fred Astaire and OJ Simpson.

Anyone catch the new Mission Impossible yet?

Tom Cruise is such a lunatic, scientologist whacko but I have to admit he's damn impressive to be filming those sort of stunts when he was 59 or 60 at the time of production. He's the best in the game at this type of movie, I may have enjoyed it more than the last Bond. Rebecca Ferguson, Venessa Kirby, Hayley Atwell, & Pom Klementieff, just incredible. If you factor in Thandie Newton from the 2nd MI you could have an argument that the MI women top the Bond girls. Would be fun to argue it!

Yeah, it's typical convoluted spy/espionage crap but they kind of go in a modern direction with this one. Liked it quite a bit. 8/10

How long is it? I really dislike the current trend of blockbuster movies coming in over 2.5 hours long.

I'm looking forward to it.

I hope it goes back to the feel of #1-3 in the new ones because the latest entries feel like they're a little self aware and have become more about the stunts and cool factor, and got away from the spy-ness and high stakes, which I loved about M:I 3 (but you also can't replace Phillip Seymour Hoffman)

I recently watched all 6, and MI2 is just a bad movie. Late 90s/early 00s cheesiness but without any of the fun.

5 and 6 stand above the rest and I hope for more of the same with 7.

I think MI:5 might to be the best spy movie of all time. The hardest thing for a spy movie to do is make itself simple enough to follow, but also complicated enough that all the crosses and double crosses make sense. I still remember being in shock that I was 2 hours into a spy movie and everything made sense and was easy to follow.
