Favreau has such a massive resume, but the first thing I always think about when I see his name is his role as the rich dude in Seinfeld who dates Elaine and gets his ass kicked trying MMA. I have no idea why that small role is so firmly stuck in my head.

That's from Friends and he dates Monica.

Okay, has anybody seen Skyscraper? It's a Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson epic tale of finding his family in a burning buildling. I'm a sucker for a good "bad" movie, and this is the epitome of that genre. Nothing makes sense, but the theatrics are incredible. The Rock even has a prosthetic leg to add extra intrigue to this debacle.
Honestly, if you're sitting around one night either drunk or high, try this one. You won't be disappointed, and you won't remember a thing about it. It's amazing.

disagree.
I usually love movies with the Rock and also love good "bad" movies.
I recommend everyone avoid Skyscraper. It's bad, but not fun bad. just an awful movie.
It might be the first Rock movie I had to turn off and stop watching. And this is from a guy who watched all of Jungle Cruise.
If you want to watch a great movie about a burning building check out Towering Inferno. Amazing 70s disaster movie with an insane cast including Paul Newman, Steve McQueen, Faye Dunaway, Fred Astaire and OJ Simpson.

Tom Cruise is such a lunatic, scientologist whacko but I have to admit he's damn impressive to be filming those sort of stunts when he was 59 or 60 at the time of production. He's the best in the game at this type of movie, I may have enjoyed it more than the last Bond. Rebecca Ferguson, Venessa Kirby, Hayley Atwell, & Pom Klementieff, just incredible. If you factor in Thandie Newton from the 2nd MI you could have an argument that the MI women top the Bond girls. Would be fun to argue it!
Yeah, it's typical convoluted spy/espionage crap but they kind of go in a modern direction with this one. Liked it quite a bit. 8/10

I'm looking forward to it.
I hope it goes back to the feel of #1-3 in the new ones because the latest entries feel like they're a little self aware and have become more about the stunts and cool factor, and got away from the spy-ness and high stakes, which I loved about M:I 3 (but you also can't replace Phillip Seymour Hoffman)
I think MI:5 might to be the best spy movie of all time. The hardest thing for a spy movie to do is make itself simple enough to follow, but also complicated enough that all the crosses and double crosses make sense. I still remember being in shock that I was 2 hours into a spy movie and everything made sense and was easy to follow.
