In my sim, Coyotes won the draft lottery. I picked the following for the Flames:
#9- Tij Iginla
#29- Cole Hutson
#41- Ryder Ritchie
#64- Yegor Surin
#74- Carter George
#84- Petr Sikora
#106- Matvei Shuravin
#107- Maxim Velikov
#170- Miroslav Satan
|
That draft is a win for the simple fact that you finally got Satan in a Flames jersey.

Yeah, the ability to do a mock lottery right before the draft is great about this simulator, I've been hooked on it for a month.
The randomness factor is a lot of fun too. Typically I leave it at like 2/3. But chunking it up all the way leads to a lot of weird things. E.g. I won 2nd overall but still picked Celebrini once as Utah won and picked Levshunov for some unknown reason.
It seems Parascak, Howe, and Hutson may all be available for our Vancouver pick. Let's throw Basha in there too.
Who are we taking out of those 4?

I'd vote Hutson if he's there, but all good options.

Hahah, had to redo the draft lottery a few times, but Seattle won 1st overall and took Levshunov, so we got Celebrini with 2nd overall.
That would be wild.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Not ominous, just dumb? Team Canada told them if they had more experienced players step up to play they would give them the option to go home. Dubois and a few others joined Team Canada so Celebrini & Fantilli opted to come home.
If I'm Team Canada I say thanks but no thanks to Dubois and want the kids on that team.

Good call by them, you don't want to be around PLD and learn from him on ice.

you have two players who committed to playing when so many players turn down the initiation, only to have other players take your spot at the last minute. Stinks

If I was making a team I'd much rather have Celebrini and Fantilli on it than Dubois, and it's not even close.
I'd probably take both over Paul & Hagel too.
Odd decisions.

Maybe undervaluing Hagel a little bit here- he's a great player. Almost ppg this year and ppg in the playoffs. Tenacious and a great forechecker. I'd take him for sure, but yeah the rookies over the other two without thinking too hard about it.

Yeah I don't like that at all - they really needed to invite Nick Freaking Paul to send those guys home.
Like c'mon.
