Treliving thrusting Brodie right out of town.

I doubt that Zucker will be traded to the Flames, but man, that would be fantastic if it happened in no small part because Carly Zucker is awesome.

Yes, let's be clear. It would be a trade for Carly Zucker, and Darius (or whatever his name is) would be an add-on.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Jason Zucker's NTC kicked in July 1. Unsure if his wife has one though.

I would assume most player’s wives have a “no Alberta/Winnipeg” clause.

The latest trade rumour I’ve heard regarding Milan Lucic….Lucic and Kris Russell to Calgary for James Neal and Michael Frolik. A four-player trade between divisional rivals is rare, especially if it was Edmonton and Calgary.

I mean, how dumb do they think NHL Gm's are? Just because they've had some real winners up there doesn't mean everyone else is that bad.
It would take some serious salary retention + a sweetener for me to even consider this if I was in Treliving's shoes.
Must really be something in the water up there

They do need to move Russell though because so many of their young D are ready to graduate to the NHL and more time in the AHL isn’t going to do them any good.

And Kris Russell is exactly what the Flames need to fill that gaping hole on their own blue line.

With Neal gone, we'll need a new scapegoat. Bennett won't be able to handle full time scapegoat responsibility just yet.

Well, looks like Monahan is ripe to carry some of that burden and there’s always room for Jankowski as well. Or Mikael Backlund, the third line centre.
I wouldn’t worry too much about that, I mean, Sean Monahan single handedly lost to the Avs in round 1.

Lol so the Oilers dump their 2 worst contracts that include NMC and the Flames get zero cap relief and actually take on more overall term? Are they sending their next 2 unprotected 1sts as well?
That is the definition of a one sided dream trade made up by the other side. “Well Neal was so bad last year so we can trade Lucic for him. The Flames also tried to move Frolik in the past and once had Russell so that fits as well”
Russell would arguably be 9th on our depth chart and Lucic is one of if not the worst contract in the league.
The actual rumor is Neal, Jankowski, and Stone for Draisaitl. Oilers get thenwinger they need, a right shot D that played in their coaches top 4 in the past and a big body center. They do this while balancing their top heavy roster and getting rid of a huge contract.
Makes as much sense as the garbage in that article.

Apparently if anything is going to happen with Lucic/Eriksson it is going to happen soon as both are getting some bonus payouts this week.
I know it is likely due to the general lack of news around the Flames but it still seems like there is something around the Oilers and Neal. I just don’t see the fit with Luis coming the other way unless it was full retention, written confirmation he waived for Seattle, and plenty of sweetners coming with him (Pulju, unprotected 1st)

I have a feeling it won't be hard to convince Lucic to waive his NMC and expansion issue. He probably wants to get the hell out of this province.

I just want all these Calgary/Edmonton rumours put to bed. Yuck.
With the "rumours" coming out of Edmonton, I'm starting to see why Toronto and Edmonton fans are always at each other's throats. We've been immune to it because the Alberta teams don't trade often.

the "rumors" that are coming from Edmonton media are actually ridiculous, a child would be able to see them for the hopeless drivel they are.
Neal+Frolik for Lucic+Russell like what right minded human would ever think we would be close to accepting that
