First Brouwer, then Neal. What happens to playoff performers once they don the Flaming C.

We need some guys to step up in a big way in Game 4.

At least unlike against Anaheim some guys look pissed off to be losing. Hopefully that translates into some passion next game.

Ugly loss. One of the ####tiest Flames performances in playoffs that I can remember. God damn that ruined my night and tommorow as well. Just so frustrating. Man what a terrible game.

Colorado had an incredible amount of odd man rushes and that's not just down to them having fast players, they identified an area of weakness and yet somehow we couldn't make any adjustments?!

Peters has done a great job all season of pushing the right buttons but something obviously needs to change with the way we move the puck up the ice in game 4 to make this series competitive.. We are making this beatable Colorado team look like the 2010 Blackhawks

this is 100% true...to state this fact does not let the Flames off the hook, it is true though. Avs scored on two HORRIBLE calls

Still a loss, I don't think anyone is saying otherwise

Yup.

This team needs to forget they finished #1 in the west. Nobody cares now. It doesn't matter. You're getting schooled. You're not as good as you think you are.

If they don't work hard and skate the series is over. You're now the underdog. Do something about it.

I’ve been watching hockey a long long time and you don’t win in the playoffs giving up 50 plus shots. That’s completely unacceptable.

Every Flame to a man should be downright embarrassed and ashamed after that display.

Yep. Bednar clearly did his homework - the Avs gameplan is badly exposing every Flames weakness. The Avs have weaknesses too - mainly a defence that's far from quick. Peters needs to gameplan around exploiting them.

I wish the Flames still had Jagr right now. They need someone in the room with perspective to set them mentally straight.

So much for Derek Wills telling us the Aves having last change would be a blessing in disguise and get Monahan and Gaudreau more engaged against Mackinnon.

That could not have been more wrong lol

It's not gonna happen - just like Brodie should be sat, but it's not gonna happen - but Since Monahan/Gaudreau/Lindholm is not working at all, and has been legatic for so long, it would be nice to see Peter's pair Gaudreau up with Bennett (and actually stick with it for at least the whole game) to see if that can lead to some goals. Bennett is made for the playoffs, and him with Lindholm could add more offensive grit to the line that can be beneficial to Johnny since he's been completely neutralized by the tight checking.

Monahan is doing nothing in helping space open up for Gaudreau since the opposing teams don't view him as a threat at all.

The top line has been so bad that even the debacle of James Neal pales in comparison.

I mean Backlund has been bad. Janko non existent. Gio average. Brodie a gong show. Hanifin?

But none of this matters. The guys that make it happen are horrible.

Gaudreau is totally ineffective.
Monahan invisible and slow.
And Lindholm looking like the first 50 games are simply an outlier for his career.

Good news is adversity creates champions. Prove something here Flames.

Jagr is the last thing the Flames need right now...

I have heard Hamilton and Jagr suggested, does anyone remember last season?

Just remember, the Flames had a worse points % since the ASB than the Avs. Time to FULLY embrace the underdog role and play with full desperation. Anything less won't cut it.

When every single one of your posts in both the GT and the PGT is about the officials with the casual "this doesn't let the Flames off the hook", it really is hard to believe you actually believe that.

I was not a fan of that game. Should I read the PGT or will it be depressing?

I will take any change at this point. What is not acceptable is how bad Gaudreau was on the defensive side of the puck tonight and that he got 22 minutes. Zero accountability there.
