Lawton just trying to hype up his trade deadline show on NHL network.
Basically translates to this "Oh there are some trades no one is talking about that could possibly maybe happen. Please watch!"

I think the rumor mongers love Flames fans. We tend to eat that stuff up, and they know it.

Every big rumor has 1 or 2 of
Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal,
we are all suckers for their click bait
Oiler fans are the worst though...constant rumors
like how the #### were they going to fit Taylor hall and then resign him lol "oh they will totally take Neal"

I wonder if Colorado tries to pick up Laine tomorrow. Could be a really good fit especially if they end up losing Landeskog.

I feel like Flames fans are more thoughtful and realistic for the most part, even if we do listen up to the clickbait artists, whereas Oiler fans are out to lunch....

All I have to say is Jarmo Kekalainen is a wizard.
Somehow Taylor Hall can only get a 2nd.
But David Savard and Nick Foligno were both able to fetch first round picks.

I know it's the kind of the joke every year, but this year more than others, what are they going to talk about on trade center for 8+ hours tomorrow??

Taylor Hall didn't really do himself any favors on giving Buffalo a better deal. Plus, we may never know whether or not there was a better deal out there for Hall. Hall got to choose his destination with his NMC.

One player may have a Hart but the other two each play with a heart.

Again...this is what happens when the player controls his destination.
Kekalainen could sell his asset to the entire league....Adams likely had a list of 2 or 3 teams...hell maybe even one.

Wrong, Feaster is an idiot. Look at his ####ty return for Iginla. Another GM would have received way more in return in that trade. Oops, wrong thread.

That’s a really bad cherry picked comparison. Gio? He was making $891K at age 24 and really just proves my point that progression is unpredictable.
I disagree that he is making a standard wage for his production this year. 64th highest paid D? Needs to be better than he is playing this year, and the rest of his draft class has zero bearing on that.

They came from a hard working team with good work ethic is my guess

I think Taylor might have a heart, but he certainly doesn't have much upstairs.

I could see Buffalo going all in on Patrik Laine. This is a team that has nothing to lose

You might want to consider who the idiot is here? You just proved tranny's point. Feaster got a marginal return BECAUSE Iginla had control over where he could be traded and eliminated all but two teams. What made matters worse, Feaster had a deal worked out with one team, then Iginla balked and forced a deal with only ONE team. The return wasn't great, but when the star player has control like that, and then actively ####s over the team by not living up to the list provided, the return is going to be negatively impacted. Considering how late in the game the negotiations were forced to take place, the Flames were lucky to get anything for Iginla. Frankly, this was one of the biggest dick moves by a player in quite sometime.

I know that we're all expecting a quiet deadline for the flames but I just can't shake the feeling that there's a big, unforeseeable deal coming today...
