I thought Zary looked good last night, and great tonight.
Based on preseason performance, I think he deserves it. Going into camp, I definitely thought it was Ruzicka v. Peltier.

I also think this.
The top-end of the RW position needs to be addressed.
Maybe they’ll try to scrape by to start the season, but sometime between now and the trade deadline I believe the Flames will acquire an impact RW.

trade or waiver target
outside chance to zary . if he can score a goal in the next game or two that could be enough to get his foot in the door

I just don't think it is that urgent this early before the season starts. There is still two weeks, and lots of the vets are just getting up to game-speed. I don't think Lindholm has looked great in his two preseason games either, but no one is especially worried about that.

there are always seasoned players that flip the switch between the final exhibition and game 1 . when no points are on the line no guy guaranteed a spot is going to strain his body more than needed.

Sutter was pretty clear today that the lines all depend on getting the centres into games, and so far Kadri has only skated for one. This will be a work in progress for at least the rest of camp.

How about Dube on Kadri's right, Rooney on Backlund's left, and Eakin centering the 4th line?

Yeah I think once we have our full complement of centres the wingers will work themselves out. That's how winning teams are built down the middle and they make their wingers better. It's why I rather have a Kadri than Tkachuk.

Dube looks good, I know he's penciled in on the 3rd line but I'd like to see him get a shot on either the first or 2nd line RW spot.
His speed and drive alone gets me on board.

Sutter has talked about how much he prefers Dube on the left side, but I think he is a perfect fit on the second line.
