No one doubted the kid's talent, his heart just wasn't in it.

That is, in fact, exactly what Hockeys Future is. Just a bunch of fans with a website, an opinion and delusions of grandeur. Once you get to that point, it's easy to take HF for what it is.

Very true, it just serves as a reminder that he could have been something. Stick to hockey and leave your vices behind.

Geez, what happened to that kid. Was he just depressed out of hockey or were they real 'vices'?

I know the guy that writes the Flames HF rankings, and he noted that the HF writers are fairly hamstrung by the individual prospect ratings that are given.
That said, I feel more or less the same as you guys.

Depends who you talking too. Nothing however has been really proven, just whispers in back rooms.

Why don't they just build a grouping of good prospects with upside, likely call-ups in the minors that may have an NHL future, and then the rest....then they can get rid of the 6.5b garbage.

Just me... or is Aaron Marvin out of left field. Never heard of that guy. Seems like a good prospect tho after looking into him.

Not really.
Third round pick from 06 (pretty sure anyway) and is liked quite a bit by the Flames. He's more difficult to follow, and more of a project, as he's in the NCAA with no plans to leave anytime soon from what i've heard. So he also only makes development camp and never the main camp so I can see how he wouldn't be as known.
Very solid prospect though and always been fairly highly regarded, in my view anyway
