2019 Alberta Vote Compass
I know there is already a thread about Alberta Politics, but I didn't want this to get buried in the mega thread.
It's a good resource if you're not sure how you line up.
https://votecompass.cbc.ca/alberta/
Edit: Apparently from some responses it is going to an old version for some folks.
Not sure why, but this should be the 2019 version/it is for most folks.

Just finished it. Gives you a % on how you line up with each party.
Gave me the same % for 2 different parties which probably is about bang on for me in my current thoughts. Worked pretty well i'd say.

The party leaders are Redford, Smith, Mason and Sherman?
Pretty sure this isn't the 2019 compass.
Edit: Weird, now it went to the 2019 one.

I mostly align with the Alberta Party, and the party I align with the least is the freedom party.

Apparently I should vote Liberal....but the Alberta Party isn't far off. Pretty much nothing in common with the "Freedom Party". I guess I hate freedom.

I most align with the Alberta party as well. I voted for them last time because I met Greg Clark and liked him as a person. I'll probably vote for them again this time around, even though I'm not a huge fan of Mandel.

Another Alberta Party here.
Just imagine if all the people who most closely aligned with the AP both A) realised it and B) didn’t throw their vote over to one of the two big horses

NDP here, and I'm more than a little surprised by that. Alberta Party second, UCP third (eesh). I do really like Greg Clark -- don't know much about Mandel -- and I'll probably vote for him.

Would be interesting if we got a poll going for this. Something like "Regardless of your voting intention, which party do you most align with?"

I was surprised to see that I align with the UCP and FCP equally.... what makes these compasses so great is it allows you to learn more about other parties you put less effort into researching.
What I don't like about them is how vague the questions are on some topics that require a bit more detail. More immigrants? absolutely.... if we are going to tighten up restrictions and ensure everyone has a fair shake.

Alberta Party for me with the UCP coming in at a close second. Time to start reading up on some platforms.

Apparently I mostly agree with the Alberta Party, while being closest on the grid to UCP.

Yeah, the questions are too vague. For example, I agree with the carbon tax but it needs some serious modifications. The carbon tax needs to actually promote behaviour change. Taxing natural gas for home heating when there is no real feasible alternative available that is less carbon-intensive than natural gas smacks of a cash grab.
