Helenius isn't sexy but from all I have read it sounds like the floor is high enough where at worst you will a middle six forward over an outright bust and chances of him being really good. The team only has Backlund for a few more years after all.

Silayev. #1 euro prospect. But good = bad for most here, even though he's trending towards Hedman levels.

When's the last time the top Euro prospect wasn't picked in the top 10?

I’d take the higher risk in Silayev. That ceiling is quite high.

Thumbs up

I've really come around to Helenius, but I think the "problem" taking him here is that you might miss out on a guy that has a higher ceiling, but lower floor. That being said, with a lot of our more promising prospects pushing into the NHL, we need to re-establish a pipeline of "sure-fire" prospects. Helenius seems like more of a sure thing NHL player, so I'm going in that direction over some of the more intriguing/exciting guys (like Silayev, Eiserman, Yakemchuck)

I don't want Silayev personally but I think he is much more likely to be gone than Iginla by the Flames pick.
