OK in the use case scenario, I can see the benefit for sure.

Any recommendations for a reasonably priced car detailing shop?

I don't know about people hating keyless entry and power windows, but I have run into far more people than I thought possible who hate auto climate control. They do all temperature controls manually.

Every time I borrow my dad's truck I turn on the automatic climate control, I imagine it drives him crazy lol.

I had a rental without auto climate control. I think I posted last year about it. Not only was I surprised it wasn't actually a standard feature in cars, but quite a few posters mentioned they always turn it off.
I was also surprised to find out recently that some lowest model Mazdas built in the last few years do not have cruise control, let alone adaptive cruise control.

What drives me crazy is driving around with my brother where he's constantly changing the fan speed, temperature control, cracking the windows, closing them etc. Why would anyone do that to themselves when you can just put it in auto, enjoy a constant cabin temperature of your liking, and focus on driving?

Have you ever tried building a Porsche? It's criminal how many features that are standard in most economy cars are missing in a base Porsche.

God Damn it.
I am that guy.
I strongly, without any real reason, dislike Auto Climate control.

I'm one of those ones who prefers manual controls for my temp. I'm not a fan of the car going full blast with the air/heat at startup. I also like to be able to control my AC etc as I'm not a big user of it.
I'm the sliver opposite with the nannies. Lane keeping, radar cruise, blind spot...meh, it's all nice, but all that stuff just dulls the driving experience and makes me zonk out. I know some like that, but I personally enjoy the act of driving and operating a machine, so I don't mind. Having to pay attention also keeps me alert. The only luxury items I really like is heated seats and remote start for my car that I park outside.
Just give me the biggest engine you got, a manual (if possible), a sweet stereo, and I'm good to go. It's probably why I don't mind (and often prefer) driving older cars.

Checks out... You do seem like the guy that would crank the heat and fan and just roast, long after the auto climate control would have relented.

Not surprising, as this is the company that basically invented the concept of taking stuff out of the car and charging you more for it.

Totally. I don’t even use regular cruise control on the highway, let alone adaptive.
I like driving and enjoy feeling like I’m actually driving, not just sitting.

I used him, I think when he was just getting his business going. It looks like he has a website now so maybe he's scaled up a bit.
I have no affiliation with him or anything like that, was just impressed with his work.

I've never driven a car with any kind of lane assist or adaptive cruise so not sure if I'd like it. Probably depends on the kind of car, I don't use cruise much in my coupe but when I had a Murano I used it a lot more.

How is heated steering wheel not on your interior list of luxury items. I would forego heated seats for heated steering wheel

So you're the guy I end up having to pass 5 times on the way to Banff while my cruise control is set at 125

You're on cruise, you spend 5 minutes catching up to a guy, change lanes to pass them, then they accelerate to match or go faster than you just as you get ahead of them. Every time.
I haven't been stopped for speeding in forever but if I ever do on the highway I figure this story as my reasoning for catching me at 130 will get me off of any ticket.
