Considering that women wearing pants to work has only really become a recent standard, it's very difficult to compare men wearing shorts in the winter to women wearing skirts and dresses

Even when women do wear dresses and skirts in below zero temps, it’s because they’re on their way to a place where they want to look nice. Dudes who wear shorts in winter are not. They’re picking up the mail, loading up on mountain dew at 7-11, etc. It’s totally a guy thing.

Instead of simply focusing on shorts, can we talk about the shorts / hoodie combo? Like are you hot or are you cold, make up your mind...may as well wear swim trunks and a parka.

The money saved on shorts vs pants gets spent buying mix at Superstore Liquor Store for double what it would be at Superstore 150 meters across the parking lot. But since it's cold those guys just pay the money and buy it there. Really, they just drive to the nearby store and buy it all at the premium price.

Well, hoodies are awesome. As are shorts. I have a lot of thin hoodies so they are not overly warm so I wear those. But yeah, legs don't nearly as cold as the upper body does.

Gotcha. I wasn't trying to come off too judgy, just a rather contrasting look ha-ha. But as a skinny man with a shaved head and low blood pressure, I'm always cold this time of year, so the whole thing mystifies me.

I was just being facetious, but i actually do wear sweaters with shorts a lot in the summer; mostly at night.
My upper-body gets colder than legs for sure
