Klein is definitely better suited to the morning show. He's kinda funny, and a lot easier to listen to than Nault. They should put Nault on hockey central at noon. He's a slight upgrade on Kirsch who is absolutely unlistenable for me.

I wish I still had the email. I wanted to provide Kelly with some meaningful feedback about a year and a half ago as I listened to all of the Morning Show on the podcast. I had some good feedback (I thought) such as suggesting they explain how Sports Select works because I wasn’t familiar and didn’t get the references. I mentioned they should use CP for more collective feedback. His response was that I didn’t know what I was talking about, CP is a bunch of negative jerks and since he took over on Hockey Central - the ratings have never been higher. Needless to say, I don’t think he cares

This may not be a popular opinion but I always enjoyed Ryan Leslie on the show when he was with Pat in the afternoon. I think the 3 way conversation piece with guys on sports radio really changes the dynamic. I also enjoyed Bruce Dowbiggin when he used to fill in during the summer months. He had a good run at the newspapers and also was opinionated to the point where it would draw out some personality and conversations amongst the other guests.
I listen to TSN 1040 Vancouver radio once in a while when I want something different, that radio station and TSN radio, in general, provides a much higher caliber of experience. The guests are better, the hosts are generally better and the production seems higher quality. Hopefully things continue to improve as it might be a long winter of listening to the radio given the weather outside thus far!

they were talking about the "meltdown" this morning and making fun of it, so i guess in wrestling terms it was "work".
I am also in the minority on this board as I enjoy both Dowbiggin and Francis.

The meltdown was a total reference to that football player who quit and retired mid game.
People thought that was real?

I typically quickly switch off the stream at 9, (even more so now with stupid Francis), but I left it on today and now hear Mike Richards is on.
Is his show feed the new 9?

Calling Shenzhen -> Sheshwan cause he just "can't" do it right. Mike Richards is lame.
And getting much worse as he goes on doing Chinese impressions. This is brutal.

I am in and out of my cubicle so I just sat down and started listening when it happened and didn't hear the prologue up to that where they were discussing the Bills situation.

Really hoping the morning show improves when the regular season starts back up. Losing Pinder has been a significant downgrade. Willing to give them the benefit of the doubt but boy has it been surprisingly painful.

Rhett is a weathervane. When Pinder was in the mix, Rhett spent about half his time doing sports analysis, so the show had balance. With Pinder gone, Rhett has been completely sucked into Boomer's dumb and dumberer schtick. It really is painful to listen to.

Interesting to see a new job posting for an afternoon host (Walker retweeted this) - maybe this means Pinder is back to mornings? http://www.sholdmediagroup.com/job-alert-sportsnet-960/

Purely a guess but if they are looking for a new afternoon host already, I think that suggests that Pinder is moving on to greener pastures. A gig in Toronto maybe?
