Gio-Andersson
Hanifin-gustavsson
Valimaki-kinvall
Kylington
Very nordic d. No heavy hitters but mostly good two way guys and great puck movement. I like it

Hanifin-Kinvall
Valimaki-Yelesin
Kylington
I think that they give Yelesin a chance on the third line to be that 'heavy hitter'. I also wonder if Kinvall goes straight to the show, due to his ability shown in the Swedish league. It's always a lottery about how well a player makes the transition to a smaller ice surface.

I wonder if a "couple of announcements" includes perhaps a 2018 draft class signing or two.
Zavgorodniy, or maybe Pettersen?

Pencilling Kinvall in on the second pairing reminds me of "Gaudreau - Monahan - Pribyl"

Strongly disagree.
1. Pribyl played in a worse league. The Czech league is a solid tier below SEL. Pribyl was a forward who showed promise but wasn’t really lighting the league up.
2. Kinvall is a defenseman in a better league and has a higher ppg than pribyl did
Now kinvall could be nothing more than David runblad, but I think he’s worth a shot with those numbers in a solid pro league.

So, how does Johannes Kinnvall compare to Carl-Johan Lerby?

Seems to average about double the point total from that League, with tougher assignments. That's just going off of stats and that little scouting report, though.

Me too, but they might not have him for long. He's a UFA after this season (whenever that is). Along with Brodie, Hamonic, Forbort and Stone. The Flames blueline could look very, very different next season, depending on who they re-sign.

Depending on how things shake out, we may have team sweden on the Back end. Gustafson, Lerby, Kinnvall, Rasmus, Kylington....

Connor Mackey is also in the mix (Poolman to a lesser extent).
I wonder if this defensive prospect stockpiling signals the departure of Kylington, or perhaps Yelesin (KHL rumours).
