General Admission price is fair, I'd probably pay just to see for Foster the people and Fitz & the tantrums.

But 250 for a "VIP" beer garden is pretty steep, I mean it was nice to drink beers and hang out while being pretty close to the stage.

They really need to add a second stage. It sucks when there are 2 or 3 bands in a row that you don't care about. There's nothing else to do! Especially with no ins and outs.

I am assuming they have added more port-o-potties since the first year? That was gross.

$180 for two days is steep, but the real kicker is the "no re-entry" policy. I get why they do it (security!) but if you're doing a multi-day festival with wrist bands I think you've gotta bite the bullet and let people come & go as they please.

I don't think it has ever sold out...probably will be a while for this one to sell out, if it even does

Damn, guess I'm going to Edmonton. The only other act I really want to see is Jack White. Everyone else is meh or I've seen them before.

Why cant't this city get a solid modern rock/hard rock festival? I assume there is a large market for it

Tickets for this are pricy, I wonder how it sells compared to previous years without a Blink or a Linkin park on the bill
Those bands are irrelevant, this is a much more "big name" lineup in 2014....you must be in your mid-thirties.

I went "meh", saw the price and went to "nope". Definitely can't see myself spending $180 on this.

I don't think Xfest has ever sold out, I think the prices alone will drive some fans away.

Even last year with Blink 182/Sheepdogs it wasnt at capacity.

Man, how did I miss the descendents on that poster. I would be pretty stoked to see them.
My user name is a descendents song.

Just picked up some pre-sale tickets, code is "mountie".

Almost $400 for two tickets after fees

Any idea when they will announce the schedule? I am probably missing Saturday night, but if enough of the bands I want to see are Sunday, I'll probably still go.

According to the Arctic Monkeys site they play Calgary on Sunday so I would assume Jack White will be Saturday

Most of the big names are at the end, Probably will see Fitz then Jackwhite and Foster the people to close the evening.

There is a 0% chance Foster the People are after Jack White

I don't know much about the Arctic Monkey's but I thought Foster the People would be the bigger draw?

I know it's pretty clear by their poster that they see it as Jack White and Arctic Monkey's but whenever the Arctic Monkeys have played Calgary it's been at Mac Hall, right?

Foster the People would likely play somewhere bigger than that if they played here on their own, no?
