I'm a huge fan of Jack White and the Arctic Monkeys! I've seen the Arctic Monkeys live twice already though, and I've seen Stars, Tegan and Sara and Cage the Elephant all live too. Not sure if Jack White alone is enough for me to justify the price. Will depend on who else gets announced I guess.
Would like to see Jack White, Death Cab and Tegan & Sara. That's it for me.
Replace Jack White with Airborne Toxic Event for me.
It is a pretty good lineup for a Calgary festival. I've already seen my top 3 choices throughout the last decade so if I go to this it will be more to go enjoy the atmosphere more than for the music.
I enjoyed X-fest back in 2011 when it had Weezer and Rural Alberta Advantage, but the following years the lineup just seemed to sway away from that style and the lineups left a lot to be desired. Glad they are back to bringing in acts that will draw in people.
This is a fantastic lineup, blows other years out of the water IMO. Like, I mean... City and Colour as a headliner? Really? The prices this year are STUPID though. 180 is ridiculous.
I would like that, but I don't think they are adding enough (quality) bands to warrant another day.
I think the atmosphere will be better here in Calgary. They are both one stage festivals correct? I don't see how Rise Against fits in with this lineup.
I do like Arctic Monkeys a lot but they should change the name to Hipster Fest.....just sayin
Why cant't this city get a solid modern rock/hard rock festival? I assume there is a large market for it
Tickets for this are pricy, I wonder how it sells compared to previous years without a Blink or a Linkin park on the bill
Double post

These are all big, commercial bands.
If this was 2001-2003 death cab, maybe you could call them hipster music.
