I hate how conservatives can’t even land an easy joke. No comedy instincts at all, they’re all just dumb as rocks (not you Dion… unless you made this meme).
The joke is right there, Trudeau looks like Lloyd, so put a picture of Harry next to him, NOT TWO LLOYDS.
Idiots! You should at least land the easy ones!

Conservatives aren't the only ones guilty of this type of stuff. Liberals recently enjoyed going after Trump for his hair and tan and also Boris Johnson's hair on a regular basis.

Having kids is bad for the climate, so shouldn't single people receive the most money, and a deduction in place for each child?

There’s nothing abnormal about Trudeau’s haircut, as opposed to Boris Johnson’s weird attempt to look like the British every man or Trump portraying himself as a billionaire, but looks like he can’t afford a proper tan or even decent fitting clothes, and boasts a horrible looking hairstyle.

If you have a partner check there account, I got the carbon tax rebate last year but under the new payment system they put it through the same sexist system (where the payment defaults to the female partner) that the CRA runs for the child support payments.

Having a picture of Trudeau and Johnson would actually have made for a pretty good dumb and dumber meme. Johnson is giving huge Harry energy with his hair.
So many missed opportunities.

It goes to the lower income family member, which is disproportionately sexist because women generally make less.

Which are you talking about the child benefit or the carbon tax. When we had our child, the CRA specifically said the female partner gets the child benefit not based on income but based on gender. As for the carbon tax benefit, I am just assuming since it switched that all payment benefits follow the same rules.
As for income we are a single income household, so I pay all the carbon tax and was really annoyed when they switched it from me to her. It's an easy fix to transfer it but it caused confusion as to not getting it.

Are you guys sure? I checked wealthsimpletax and it says, for a couple, the person whose tax return gets assessed first will receive the payment. Usually who submitted first will get assessed first. It's not dependent on who gets the child tax benefits.

Carbon tax rebate goes to the person whose tax return is assessed first. It has nothing to do with gender or being the lower income earner. In our house, I receive that credit while my significant other gets the child tax credits.

Sexism or just luck of the assessment order? Who's to say.

If you have a spouse or common- law partner, only one of you can get the credit for the family. The credit will be paid to the spouse or common-law partner whose tax return is assessed first. No matter which one of you receives the credit, the amount will be the same.
