Kind of tired of a mayor that sounds like a lactose intolerant 5 year old at times.
what does this mean... do kids who cant tolerate lactose sounds different then ones who can... were u trying to be witty... it makes no sense...its word put together that have no business mixing...
Mr. Nenshi has a mouth that gets him into trouble too many times. But he's an intellectual, and we need more intellectuals in office. Too many politicians these days almost take pride in being anti-intellectual.
Is there going to be a reasonable alternative this election?
Either Bill Smith or Chabot would be a reasonable alternative. Unfortunately, they are both running on similar platform and will split the votes against Nenshi right down the middle. I anticipate an easy win for Nenshi.

I dont care what he sounds like or most of how he acts, if hes maintains financial responsibility and planning then I'll likely support him.
I'll take a petulant meticulous planner over a suave moron any day.
I do kind of agree with this, but at the same time this is a significant issue. On one had he talks about campaign finance and reforming it because its bad the way it is. Of course he can't because it's provincial...and then he launches a $5k/person lunch which is exactly what the issue is with campaign financing.
Then throw in the "I met with 10,000 people" line and it just rubs me the wrong way. So you met with lots of people (which is kind of why people re-elected you...people appreciate the openness and access), and then throw it in our face as a sort of "therefore you can do whatever I want" sort of thing?

I think that is probably right, but calling him a petulant meticulous planner is likely too generous. The guy absolutely cannot admit he is wrong, and that is what is rubbing people the wrong way. He was dumb for going along with this dinner, given his previous comments and obvious bad optics. But he'll never admit it.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Oh no. Not at all. He canceled it because it was "mischaracterized" by some, presumably the dummies he spoke of. He also apologized, not to the people, but to Kazian, the hosts of the lunch because the dummies treated them poorly in their mischaracterization. So no. He has admitted nothing at all. In fact, he did the opposite of admitting his mistake.

This guy has really started to rub me the wrong way, similar to Delgar's comments, which I echo. Time for a change.
You're in direct contravention of....
