Heat have recalled Culkin who went 6a in 5 games with Adirondack.

Sample sample size, but he last season he put up 8pts in 33 games in the ECHL.

He has yet to put up any points in 11 AHL games this season.

Between Kulak and Culkin, I always felt Culkin was the better player.
He always looked faster, smarter, and more offensively gifted in the prospect camps (never watched much of either in Junior). The gap wasn't big in my eyes though.
It's crazy how much separates them now, in the opposite direction.

I think Hartley compared Culkin with Giordano, didn't he? Hopefully, he gets back to where he was before his injury.

Gillies comes in for Rittich to start the 2nd.

Heat down 3-0 on 10 shots.

3-0 now. Youngsters need second wind. Maybe they see big club struggling and wonder why any of them aren't getting a shot.

4-0. Amazing how much the AHL team mirrors the NHL team right now...

and now Jankowski takes a unsportsmanlike conduct minor after disagreeing with an offside call.

Lol. Saw Gulutzan's "win, you're in" quote today so I thought I'd check on how the Stockton goalies were doing (it could be awhile before we see another W up here).

First hit on Google: Rittich pulled, Heat lose 5-0, and have now lost 5 of the last 6: http://www.recordnet.com/sports/2017...lump-continues

Sigh.

Stockton loses 3-0. First back to back shutout loses in Stockton Heat history. Have lost 6 of the last 7.

Heat were actually pretty decent in the 1st, but kind of faded out in the 2nd and 3rd. Rittich was also decent in net after being pulled last game.

They face Grand Rapids tomorrow at 5pm MT.

We suck again! 3-0 loss tonight

One thing that I really didn't like about th9is gae was that on the third goal, Kylington was defending a 2 on 1, he did a pretty good job but the passer tried to get one through and it bounced off of Kylington before going in. As he left the ice, he didn't even give a pad tap to Rittich. I don't like that.

The camera was right on him. I wouldn't have posted it if I wasn't sure. I want Kylington to be the best he can be, I want him to be on the top pair with Brodie someday. I know that players can change their attitude but it doesn't take hockey skills (which he has in abundance) to be a good teammate.

also sureLoss ninja'd me AGAIN so I had to post something to add to the discussion

I've had AHL live almost every year since I realized it was a thing and never do they show 100% of the time on the goalie/defense after a goal, especially on the road. They cut away to show a replay to the crowd (because they use the in rink feed) and they show the goal scorer do his fly by. I don't believe for even a moment that they never cut away for a few seconds.

The poster watched the game and commented on what he saw. No need to jump to conclusions and we have no idea what was said between them afterwards so not going to think too much about it. But since bigrangy watched it lets take his word on it.

I trust what I've seen over the last 6-7 years more than the word of that particular poster.
