Yeah, I've mentioned my waning interest before on here and friends of mine share the same opinion. The leveling rapidly gets old (and nearly impossible with the exponential increases in exp requirements), the gps distance tracking for egg hatching is horrible, more irritations than I can mention in regards to catching pokemon etc. I've actually uninstalled it now but would consider playing again if there was actually something to do that was more like the original pokemon games.
You would have to think they try to keep this game as relevant as possible for as long as possible.
I wonder what sort of plans they have for the winter. Everyone I've talked to who knows about or plays the game is pretty confident the concept is dead once the snow falls and people are far less inclined to wander and collect.
A significant chunk of the world has mild winters. Where we are I'd rather be out walking long distance in December rather than mid-July to mid-August when the heat index is typically beyond 40 deg C.
Yeah this game has turned more frustrating then anything walking 5 km only to hatch a drowzee is rediculous also almost every 2km egg hatch is a weedle's or rattata like why are they even able to be hatched they are freaking everywhere I'm pretty done with the game until changes are made
I think the problem with pokemon go is looking at what could have been.
Rare pokemon at the top of mountains or middle of lakes, a thought out PvP system, better GPS and tracking, more rewards for distance rather than rewarding grinding and hanging out in popular areas at popular times. Etc.
An environment in which a person encounters only beliefs or opinions that coincide with their own, so that their existing views are reinforced and alternative ideas are not considered.

I've never seen or hatched a Lapras, but on my bus ride home I saw one appear in the tracker. So close to getting off at the next stop hahaha, but alas I let it go. Hoped the bus might be heading towards it but no such luck
Pikachu at last!!! Woohooo! There's a nest for them at Shouldice Park in case anyone cares.
I wonder if the spawn locations have reset again? I remember Shouldice was good for Pikachu, then it turned into an Ekans nest and now maybe back to Pikachu?

That's one of those "drop everything" moments. I've had a few of them. Chased down a Charizard on my way to work one day. Missed it and barely made it to work on time. I also ran around the neighborhood at 1am in my boxers because I saw a Dragonite on the tracker. Missed him too.

The tracking is really killing me.
I run between 9-10km almost every day, so I should be hatching eggslike crazy, but I'm lucky if 6km is actually recognized. I'm even basically running straight north and south, with few big turns.
Also the variety is so low. Someday when they release a few more generations of Pokemon it will be different, but based on how slow the developers seem to be moving, I think I'll have been long gone.

Hijack the bus to cover more ground quickly before it despawns.

Your grand tales of success really inspire hahaha but no, big props to you for both those attempts!
On Monday I did push off a much needed coffee to hunt down a 1094 CP Porygon in Kensington which thankfully didn't run on me. Walked pretty much as far away from it as I could in every direction before it appeared, too. Was pretty happy with that one!
